Looking Back in Time By: Jim Gandolf

Looking Back in Time

By: Jim Gandolf

Looking back in time; I never felt that I knew what I was going to do here for a living as a child. I really had no since of direction in my live plan. I was always around much older people whom already had their life in action. I was living in a much abusive environment; from not my own choice, but the choice of others.

I feel that most of the time that I put myself around older living neighbors to where I could learn something. I learned how to build a car in the 5th grade in the summer time, to where I was peddling fruit door to door instead of a paper route.  I was interested in banking structure my whole life, and always read the business section of the daily newspaper.  I grew up in many places and attended many schools, 16 different schools just to get a high school diploma. The only thing positive about that, I did meet so many people throughout my life, some extremely beneficial, and some as a lesson. I feel that all lessons are valuable even if these lessons are good or bad lessons. I know that bad lessons can be a blessing to understand more of how did that happen in all our lives, or business? Most people have a learning curve in life in general.  We leaner from our mistakes and trials in life, or we stay in the same place and start to wonder why we can’t move forward. In life we have hidden rules that can apply if we know what the hidden rules are. Government programs, Church Programs, Community Organized Structure for moving ahead in life through difficult times, or some of us get help form family or friends. I haven’t found to many programs to help you in the racing world of open wheel, and all that action had to be self-taught by going through life challenges and many people lost in the reason or structure of what to do to have a successful program. I just simply had to start somewhere, and being an unofficial tour guide for one of the biggest companies in the fuel business at the time I started.  I had to do what was necessary to get involved. I then grasped the fact, I can sell other major companies the idea of treating your clients with respect, so I contained more companies to help at sporting events like racing, because I was so passionate about the motorsports venue. I then moved into finding race team sponsorships, I had to understand that these sponsors had to make money and that these sponsors didn’t care about the exposure at all. Distribution, became the most important part of the equation, and then I had a few of the best people in distribution in my family, to which gave me more education on product movement, to weather it was fuel, candy or any hard lines or soft lines on any scale of movement. I found even more of an education when I went to work for one of the greatest Game Company on product movement. I then had to understand banking and each schedule of payout compilation schedule to even see if the companies that I was working with could afford my plan into racing. Theses companies were going to do Invoice financing, and that is a scary hot mess to even start. I had to learn not to structure to large of a purchase order (sometimes the company would not even be able to keep up and the financial responsibility as the orders are being paid out from the retail company or the distributors involved. Then understanding each retail operation on re-orders to keep the product moving?

Communicating had to become a major factor on all levels. Some companies will get rid of you as soon as you place the product (Hello, that they couldn’t do on their best day) then no one cares if you get paid at all. So, I worked on legal structure within the states that I do business. So, I started to even do much better, then I had to deal with complete crazy people that didn’t understand I wasn’t going to help them anymore because they under handed me or didn’t care to pay me, or when around me to not even care, because they had the lead and handled everything themselves. Well, now these underhanded people hacked into my emails, and stole my texts on my phone, to interrupt my flow of business. Yes, that was an extended education on all levels. The law implication to these hackers are amazing. I have seen race teams come and go, though I can also say when I was done with a team, and getting their funding, these teams slowly disappeared to never return. Though there would be one former team owner I would entertain the idea of helping as I work towards my owning my own team, but then again, why would I need the head ache at all. The next step is the banking action and I will have everything all set for owning my own race team. I have learned that other people want me to help them in everyway to achieve they goals, but now I feel I must have my goals achieved to move forward in owning my own race team, and understanding how to keep this plan in action always. I know the best way to reach my goals. When you have the funding, and everything is structured around profits in performance on all level (Banking, Laws, Product Movement, Merchandise, employee’s relations, humanitarian projects in order, and payout to these organizations, fan stable interaction, race schedule planning for all clients to be successful in their own goals) and help the sanctioning body preform at its best can be achieved with my own goal.

Creating the movement, and never stopping and there is not one person that can stop this goal, but myself.

Now I am looking forward in time, because I have learned to forgive, and looked at my trials as an education.
