“Vision”
Poem

Section 1:
The House (The Foundation)
You look across the yard and see a house,
Sturdy, silent, still as a mouse.
Light bounces off the shingles and the door,
Traveling to your eyes, and then doing more—
Your brain takes the image, paints it clear,
And says, *"This is home, and it is here."*
But vision isn't just about what is true,
It’s about seeing **what a space could grow into**.
To make it better, you don't just stare;
You bring intention, effort, and care:
Clear out the clutter
that blocks the light,
Paint the walls
to make them bright,
Fix the roof
where the rain leaks through,
Plant a garden
where the grass once grew.
Section 2:
The Car (The Momentum)
You see a car parked on the street,
A shell of metal, glass, and seat.
Photon waves hit the shiny hood,
Telling your mind it stands where it stood.
But a visionary looks beneath the chrome,
And sees a vessel meant to roam.
To make it better, to make it fly,
You don't just watch as the days go by:
Tune the engine
till it hums and purrs,
Wipe the windshield
so the road never blurs,
Change the oil
and check the brakes,
Steer it wisely
through the turns it takes.
Section 3:
The Self (The Rite of Passage)
Now turn that vision deep inside,
Where the truest versions of you hide.
To see yourself is the hardest art
To map the mind and chart the heart.
You are the architect, the spark, the guide,
Building the future where you will reside.
To improve the self and claim your place,
To walk your
rite of passage with grace:
Learn from the shadows
of where you’ve been,
Build up the discipline
deep within,
Sharpen your mind
like a tool of steel,
Act on the thoughts that make you real.
The future isn't a place you just arrive,
It’s a kingdom you build to stay alive.
You forge your path through the fire and dust,
Transforming
“I wish” into “I must.”
Section 4:
The Old Watch (The Reminder)
An old watch ticks upon your wrist,
A silent witness in the mist.
Its gears are worn, its face is scratched,
A relic of time, unmatched.
It sees no future, it holds no regret,
It only reminds you:
the sun hasn't set.
The house can be rebuilt, the car can run,
The rite of passage has just begun.
The watch simply whispers, with every chime,
“You have the vision. Now use the time."
